Erica Barrett joins BSUK as Head of Operations

BaseballSoftballUK is delighted to announce the appointment of Erica Barrett to the role of Head of Operations.
Personal history
Barrett joins BaseballSoftballUK after founding, owning, and operating Sports Travel Leisure Logistics for three years in South Africa. The Johannesburg native has spent 13 years working in hospitality, events and sports travel logistics, while also having heavy involvement with baseball and softball in Johannesburg and nationally. Barrett’s experience includes team management and logistics, event marketing, with a focus on operations. Barrett was also the First Vice President of the Johannesburg Sports Federation, where she was responsible for increasing the involvement and participation of women and girls in sport and with key involvement in the writing and execution of sporting grants.
Barrett moved to the United Kingdom with her family (including GB Softball Coach Colin Barrett and BSUK Week 5 Baseball Player of the Week Josh Barrett) last autumn and has been involved in the UK baseball and softball community since.
In her role at BaseballSoftballUK, Barrett will be responsible for the company’s operations department, which includes the company’s finance and governance, as well as serving as secretary for the Board. She will also be responsible for the company’s human resources and will be integral in managing BSUK’s strategic goals and objectives.
