COVID-19 update from BaseballSoftballUK - 31 March
Tue 31 Mar 2020
BaseballSoftballUK continues to closely follow the Government and Public Health England’s advice on restricting movement and public gatherings.
However, we would like to provide an update for event organisers and participants of our programmes and events during this time of ongoing disruption and uncertainty.
We have therefore taken the decision today to announce the continued closure of Farnham Park Baseball & Softball Complex and our Home Plate Bar and Kitchen clubhouse, as well as the continued suspension of all of our national programmes and events, until 31st May 2020.
A decision on whether we are able to resume operations in June will similarly be taken and communicated on 30th April.
We have taken this decision in line with the overriding intention of keeping our staff, coaches, players and those in the wider baseball and softball community safe.
Official advice from Government remains fluid and subject to change at short notice so we continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis. Our hope remains that we are able to re-open Farnham Park, our clubhouse and resume our core programmes as soon as it is possible to do so safely and deliver a season of sport.
To make the most of this downtime, we will shortly be sharing a series of online skills and activities for you to try, Coach Education content along with and league and club administrative support, so do sign up to our mailing lists and keep up-to-date with latest news and information here:
