COVID-19 update from BaseballSoftballUK - 12 May
Tue 12 May 2020
BaseballSoftballUK continues to closely follow the UK Government and Sport England’s advice on the lockdown and associated restrictions.
The Government’s latest statements on 10th and 11th May indicated that community team sport is unlikely to be permitted before 1st July with people allowed to exercise in groups of no more than two people, unless with their own household. Therefore, we’re announcing the ongoing suspension of all tournaments and group bookings at Farnham Park Baseball & Softball Complex, as well as the continued suspension of all of our national programmes, until 30th June, 2020.
This decision respects our overriding objective of keeping staff, coaches, players and those in the wider baseball and softball community safe.
The situation remains fluid and we are closely monitoring Government advice. Our hope remains that we are able to resume operations and programmes as soon as it is possible to do so safely.
