BSUK Player of the Week Debuts Next Week!

As baseball and softball players return to the diamond this summer, we want to honour them as much as possible. The playing community is the backbone of our two sports, and our ambition to make them grow.
Starting next week, and for every week throughout the playing season, BaseballSoftballUK will be naming two Players of the Week - one from baseball and one from softball - and we need your nominations!
Every Monday at 10 AM as part of the weekly baseball and softball thread, nominations will open on BSUK’s social media channels.
Nominators will be required to submit a photo and 1-2 sentences (up to 60 characters) on why their nominee should be featured. The image should be as recent and as clear as possible – preferably of the player in uniform! Nominations will close at noon on the following day (Tuesday). Any nominations received outside of the nomination period will be disregarded.
Two randomly chosen nominees from each week will be chosen as the Players of the Week and announced at 5PM on Tuesday. Each player will be honoured with a bespoke graphic on BSUK’s social media and in a special section of the BSUK website.
Due to the Bank Holiday, and BSUK’s participation in this weekend’s social media boycott, the first nomination period will open at 10 AM on Tuesday, 4 May, with the first Players of the Week announced Wednesday 5 May at 5 PM!
Any player from all teams are eligible to be nominated for Player of the Week, and BSUK will not choose nominees based on league or affiliation – however, we will try to ensure that multiple teams and players are chosen across the course of the season. Previous winners of the weekly honour will not be eligible to win again during the season, unless extraordinary circumstances occur!
