2016Third Manchester Insurance Tournament survives the weather
The third annual Insurance Institute of Manchester (IIM) Tournament got off to a wet start —and middle, and finish – on Friday 19 August at Parrs Wood School in Didsbury, with continuous downpours throughout day. However, this didn’t dampen the spirit of the occasion, with players from nine insurance corporations embracing the weather and enjoying the day in true Manchester style, with raindrops dripping from their company baseball caps and umbrellas.

Following the successful staging of the 2016 Carluccio’s Company Softball programme in June and July across the country, eight teams that had qualified through regional events descended on Hyde Park in London on Monday 11 July to compete for the Carluccio’s national title.

2015New co-ed slowpitch league to begin in Leicester
A new corporate co-ed slowpitch league, a joint venture between Leicestershire & Rutland Sport, BSUK, Leicester Blue Sox baseball and the Leicester Royals softball, will be launched in June with the aim of increasing the number of men and women playing softball locally during the summer.
